I have four hens -- 2 buff orpington, 1 golden wyandotte and a brahma. They are 27 weeks old and have not started laying eggs. I've been told it might be because of the shorter days and decreased light. I'm in MA. I really don't want to wait until spring for more daylight to start getting eggs...
I agree it's too small. Why do they market this and sell it on many sites for 2-4 chickens?? But that's another matter. My husband is going to build a bigger coop when he has time, but my chickens should be starting to lay so I'd like to figure out a temporary solution until their bigger coop is...
