My husband came home with chicks a few months ago. Same breed as yours and we have 2 males. If anyone is in the north Mississippi area, I will sell them cheap. They are pretty and forage well. just don't need more roosters.😫
Okay. I did not know that! I have had black hens before her and currently do have others. But I did not realize the face could be black without more exotic bloodlines.
Hey y'all. Here is a hen that has us perplexed. Her face and comb has a large amount of black in it. We believe her to be a mix, but are not sure where the black face.might have come from.
Sadly, no. My last heritage RIR passed away about a month ago. He was a sweet one. I do have a son of his, but he is only 1/2 RIR. The RIR rooster did cross my Wheaten Marans, so time will tell what they turn out to be.
