Last winter we got by with our old garage, but it's time to build something for them to be safe, warm and free from snow underfoot. I want a tractor/coop design so we can move it around again next spring. We do get snow here in Eastern Wa.

A couple of my chickens have bare bellies. It doesn't look plucked, just smooth skin. Is this normal? They sleep on pine shavings. Could this be contributing? Also, I can clearly feel their breast bones when I pick them up. Is this normal? They get plenty to eat between feed, bugs and greens...
The temp was 73f in the bator. The eggs were completely cooled so it must have been unplugged for a while. I plugged it back in hoping to save them. Do you think they will survive? Any advice?
