This is frankies Bill rn. I can’t get a good photo but she’s already so stressed out I don’t want to rinse it off to show you unless I have to. She’s usually a very sweet duck but she was hissing at me. The poor girl is stressed out of her mind - especially being in pain and isolated.
Somebody please help I don't know what to do. I left the workshop open by accident while I grabbed some tools and ran to the back of the field to work on the koi pond when i heard a commotion. One of the ducks was screaming and had something hanging off her face when I realized she had a heavy...
Hi everyone! we are getting some new Cayuga ducklings this Friday, and I have a question. Yes, I am aware that I am about to sound like an Idiot...
But here goes...
So, I know Human-raised ducklings have a harder time swimming because their fluff gets clogged up with water and it becomes too...
And don't worry, I made sure to get them a water dispenser that they could dip their noses in to keep them clean and moist, but not deep enough to let them drown.
That is awful! I'm not sure what could have done that but I hope you find out what did. Stay on the look out! Hopefully your poor drake will start feeling better!!!:)
They are about 4-5 days old, really young. I thought it would be okay to let them play for about 15 minutes and then sun bathe for another 15 minutes, they seemed happy, and our stream is about 70 degrees, fairly warm, and it was about 78 degrees outside, sunny.
@Ducks4us
Okay, @Miss Lydia I think I'll probably be able to find the best homes for them if i find them a home after Easter. That way it's not just some people looking for a prop for their party.... I really want them to find a forever home, they are my babies!
Hello everyone! I just got ducklings last Friday, and so far we have had a rough start. We have a stream in our backyard acre:/, so we decided to go let them play in ityesterday. We watched them the entire time, and they swam and sunbathed for about a half an hour. When it was time to come back...
Unfortunately I'm not sure what to do... @Amiga or @Miss Lydia might know what to do. They have helped me. If it really is that bad to the point of which the little guy can't stand up, I think the best option right now would be to take the duckling to a vet. Also, do you only have one? From...
Okay, for @Miss Lydia I'm not really sure we were looking to get more ducks. We have eight, so our hands are pretty full... and we were planning on letting them free range half the time, and be in their coop/duck run the other half of the time. I just wasn't sure what age was best to rehome the...
