Hi, one of my hens (which is a pbr) has always had a crooked head (not full stargazing). She has had this issue ever since she was about 2 weeks old. I posted about it in a fourm and everyone said it was just her crop. This chicken of mine has had both a crow and a rat attack, but I do not think...
I have a baby chick which I believe has wry neck and I am wondering how much vitamin e and selenium do you give and how do you get the chick to eat it? I created an emotional bond with this chick so I am really hoping this will help.
I would say to keep them separated for a little while until the chicks are a bit bigger. Chickens dont understand the concept of age but they do understand size. What you can do is build a small coop for the chicks and let them live there until they are a bit larger.
I have a week old Barred rock chick a strange lump on the side of their neck. They can eat fine and stand up but when the other chicks are playing and running around the brooder this chick is just kind of straggling behind. Her head is also not centered.
I have a baby chick which is a week old barred rock and I noticed that the had a weird lump on the side of her neck. Her head is slightly tilted off center. She can stand and eat fine but she is always not as fast and as energetic as my other 3 chicks. I will add pictures.
I previously had a black sexlink hen who layed green eggs instead of brown. She passes away a bit ago but I am getting more chickens and I did some research and was puzzled by this.
