    I NEED HELP MAKING A BROODY CAGE BEFORE SEPTEMBER 6th !!!!

    There's is a broody pen the young man is working on in the poster, can be made from scrap wood, place a clutch of eggs and a hen inside, it forces them to sit on the eggs till hatched, feed and water daily. Make as many cages as you want for multiple hatches/birds/sizes.

    I hear that wood ashes work against mites/lice. I dump a pile in my chicken run once and awhile for them to dust themselves in.

    Hens won't set (get broody) till there is a clutch of eggs, usually a dozen.
