    Like me! Love the last post, that's what I need...for a few months a year the creek gets low enough that I need something to let the girls out into. Our neighbours have dogs that will surely kill them, but the creek provides a natural barrier 3 (of the nice) months a yr. Thank you.

    Are chicks nocturnal?

    So...how any hours of "other" light are your chicks getting? We keep our heat lamp on all the time and turn it up at night becuase it gets quite cold, but I've found differing or no info about how much light my 3 week old, layers should be getting.
