Listen very closely to what casportpony has to say. Helped me with my roo when he was attacked. My roo was not eating or drinking after the attack. Caportpony gave me good advice & instruction.

Update he's still eating. I didn't tube him after he started eating, just monitoring him. I think I was right , suspecting his throat was sore. He was drinking water more than eating. Cool water soothes the throat. Now he's eating well.
Update, sorry for not posting sooner but my well pump went. Of course right before a storm! No telling how long I'll be without water. Any who, Lucky is eating & drinking. More drinking than eating, his throat must be sore. He was eating for about 5 minutes.
I went by his cage to take pic of his...
Thank you, he cost me over 1100 dollars last year at the vet. Blood work, antibiotics, fluid drawn from his foot. Foot still looks the same. Vet Did nothing but drain my wallet. She was just guessing. The more she guessed the more it cost me. That's why I took the challenge on myself this time...
Wow, you're a good chicken mommy or daddy
Most people would think we're crazy, they just don't get it. They don't understand they have their own personality just like dogs and cats do.
He was smashing his face a good 6 minutes. I am just going to keep an eye on him for now. His throat is probably sore from tubing. I don't want to discourage him from eating because of a sore throat.
What I did to introduce them to one another. (I have a walk in coop) Is build a smaller pen inside the coop. I put the 2 month old birds in the pen so the big birds couldn't get to them. But could see them. Worked out well.

Holy sh** I just let my other roosters out. He woke up! Started crowing! One after another! Looks more alert now! His crowing sounds messed up, but it's a crow! Very good sign! Happy happy happy!
