That is too funny! I guess I'm just a worry wart cuz my hens are my family as much as they are my egg layers. I worry to hell about them and I love getting to know more about them.
Thank you for the input, my clover (the redder one) just laid today for the first time of my knowledge since I just moved her and her sister into the new coop with my barred rock and Easter egger. I was worried she may be a broody girl. But thank you! You really think they're both red sex links...
So I got these girls a few weeks ago and they are very much fitting in. But I don't know what breeds they are and I prefer to stay informed about my hens. The darker one just laid an egg and has yet to leave the nest like my other two regular layers. Is this due to her breed?
Honestly I'm so relieved to know her breed now. Thank you for helping me identify what she is and thank you she is very beautiful but skiddish. She still comes up to me and checks me out but she doesn't enjoy being held as much as my barred rock Lilly
Hi I'm Lilly ross (not real my name but a combination of my first two hens names.) Anyways I've been trying for weeks to figure out the breed of my hen. I'll post some pictures, any input helps her name is ross
