    Frizzle update: I have 18 chicks running around in the brooder with three outside hatched naturally by Mama...10 eggs still in incubator but showing signs of hatching! Adopted out 8 of them and am all weepy now that they are leaving...lol

    This worked great for us...had to incubate unexpectedly! Only downside was that I did have to spray my eggs 2 to 3 times a day since the humidity was not consistent and worried me. I did not have the automatic turner but I turned my eggs twice a day and all my chicks hatched out with no problems!

    First trip outside!

    I usually transfer mine outside once they are mostly feathered and the baby fluff is gone. I use the bottom of a coop or a dog run with a cat carrier filled with shavings for bedtime. This has worked great so far with all my babies! It is usually spring and the temps at night are in the 50's.

    Chicks...

    Decided to raise four adorable Frizzles since I missed having chickens for the last few years...they are a year old and thanked me by hatching out 30 chicks!!!! I now have chick preschool at my house...lol. Poor hubby just sighs and builds me whatever crazy thing I need for my chickens...
