I will take a picture. Not nearly as nasty as it sounds. I have a baby pullet and noticed its left eye shut this evening. When I looked closer it looked like the lid was slightly crusty. I'm not sure if her eye was injured and running... she closed it to sleep, and now it's just crusted...

25 is usually a minimum order. That's probably 1 reason you see a lot of folks getting that many.
I just got 25. I plan on raising them to sell their eggs next season at farmers market. I needed more eggs. I just got them, so they should start laying eggs right in time.

I think today is the 1st day I didn't see them since they killed the birds last Thursday...

Found another dead barred rock this morning.. looked like it was either trying to escape under, or was stashed under/around a wood pile.
that's 2 dead BR hens, and one dead BR rooster.. all on thanksgiving. I have a flock of around 30 hens and obviously this lousy hawks got a taste for barred...

I've heard from a few other members that 'feds' are watching BYCF!
Are we really on their radar?
Anyone have any proof of this.. or do they watch this forum just as much as they watch any other?
