    Trimming beak on cross beaked?

    With my cross beak, I took a pair of nail clippers and cut the beak as close as I could so that it wouldn't bleed, if yours starts to bleed a little you can put some flour on it to help it stop.

    I had the same thing happen with my white silkie hen a month ago and now i got 6 baby chicks, she was under a year old and it was her first time too. There's nothing to worry about and give the eggs that don't hatch about 3-4 days after the time they should hatch just in case some are a little late.

    She's a very good looking bird and she has the colors of a Rhode Island red or New Hampshire red but both those breeds dont have feathered feet she might be a Rhode Island/White cochin mix.
