Hi Quail people,
I have never had quails before, but completely randomly I decided to buy some fertile eggs.. the guy mistakenly gave us ones due to hatch the following day :eek:
12 have hatched so far , but am slightly worried about one as its leg is stretched out.. (I'll take a pic)
Is this...
Random I know!
I was reading something the other day that said you can tell the gender of turkeys via the shape of their droppings!
Toms = j shaped
Hens = spiral shaped
Is there any merit to this (before my neighbors catch me diligently following my Turkey around :gig )
For those that send their turkeys to freezer camp.. how do you process them?
Cone & Knife?
Axe?
Something else?
Mine are pets. But am curious what is considered humane/instantaneous.
Hi poultry-people,
I am the proud Turkey mumma to 3 Turkey poults, they are about 3 weeks old now. I didnt hatch them, bought them as tiny poults. I do have an incubator full of Turkey eggs though :eek:only 1 week to go!!
Anyway, just curious.. do you think you can tell Tom's & hens apart...
