Cucumbers can be tricky. Some years we get great yeilds and others they all get powdery mildew. I suggest you get some Mexican sour gherkin seeds. They aren’t sour they’re cute, delicious, and easy to grow. They taste a bit like cucumbers but are hardier.

I’m so sorry to hear this. ❤️❤️I’m sure she knew she was loved. One of my favorite things to do with kids around is to take a shed tail feather and snip a bit off the inner point. Then you dip it into an ink well and have your own reusable feather pen. Maybe that could be a keepsake?

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but mature roosters that you already know are good boys are (to me) a much better bet than raising your own and hoping for the best. You may be better off!

Those combs are very big and red for 3 months for a female. I agree that you might be looking at males. I’m not sure though

I am 99% sure my pullet is a cream legbar, but her pantaloons are so light colored that she’s unlike those I’ve had in the past. Is she a mix or just poor quality? Thanks!
