I have a month old duck who suddenly started behaving strangely yesterday. Usually it’s very active and chirpy and follows me around but now it seems very lethargic and hides away in the corners, making kinda small whimpering noises. I’m not sure what to do and I’m very worried. Please help!
I also attached a video link Sick chickI just received my baby chicks in the mail and one of them seems pretty sick. I fed it some raw yolk and electrolyte water and after a while it started to close and open its mouth kinda like a hiccup. I’m not sure what to do now. Should I try feeding it...
Yes someone please help. I am also planning on getting silkies in a few weeks and I'm hoping to get females but I can't tell the difference between female or males silkie chicks
I have a newly hatched chick (12 hours) that was fine a while ago but start spasming. It was also flipped onto its back and couldnt get up by itself. It also seems unable to lift its head. Some of egg still stuck to butt. I also gave it some water if that matters?
Usually with my previous chicks, they’ve all hatched out of the shell by making a line across the entire egg, but this time, some of the chicks have just made giant holes. Should I be worried?
So far I’m boiled some water and put them in cups and a hot water bottle next to the incubator and put a cardboard box covering them. I’m just worried it might not be enough and the chicks that are still in the egg will get shrinkwrapped. How long are chicks able to survive without consistent heat?
My chicks are in the MIDDLE OF HATCHING and my power went out! One has hatched 10 minutes ago and there are still 5 more breaking out of shell. It’s estimated the power won’t be on for the next hour and I’m panicking. What do I do to keep them warm??
