So...my hens are 1 1/2 years old and, I know that this rooster is young. I managed to kick it out of my backyard... I have gates on either side of my house and it can't figure out HOW to get BACK in my backyard...so..for now, he comes periodically but, is wild & free. Mahalo for taking the time...

I noticed that one of my hens was limping off and on for a few days. This morning, I found out why...she "lost" a claw. She doesn't let me pick her up to REALLY examine her😔 Is she going to be okay?? Do I have to do anything? Mahalo in advance for anybody's help🤙

Well.... I may have found out the reason why? This morning, I heard my hens squawking up a storm so, I ran down there and heard a cat, couldn't see it because I live in a rainforest on the Big Island of Hawaii. Then, after I scared it away (hopefully), about an hour later, heard my hens again...

I did change their food which, they absolutely LOVE and THEN, they started laying eggs. Not a whole lot, a couple to a few. I'm not even sure if all 4 hens are laying? But now, if lucky that I get ONE for the day. But, everything else is normal.

I have four Wyandotte hens that are 6 1/2 months old. One of my hens was laying an egg every day and the others was laying for 2 days and just stopped laying. Is there something wrong or is it just normal? Mahalo in advance for helping 🤙
