    I am glad I found this thread, I was about to post something about the same thing. I am About to build a new coop and was thinking about building a rabbit hutch in there also. My biggest concern is the chickens and rabbits catching something from each other.

    There was a guy up here in ANchorage just last year that shot a black bear that broke into his chicken coop and was eating his chickens. I dont know about down there but up here if a bear attacks my chicken I can shoot it in defence of property.

    Well the guy called me back yesterday on the free wood! I got a whole truck load of 2x4s 2x6s and some 2x8s Along with 6 sheets of plywood!     Ok, I have dusted all the chickens especially around the vent. I then dusted the Temp coop with both the DE and The Poultry pesticide. I sure hope this works. In ten days I plan to do it all again just to make sure they are gone and in a few weeks I will be starting the new coop and run.

    I wasnt using it as a wormer, I was told to use it to help get rid of the mites. O and The main thing to get rid of the mites I got was Permethrin Prozap Garden & Poultry Dust. Thats all they had for a bad mite problum.

    I just read on another site to check around the vents so Im going to go out and check them now and see if I can tell if they have mites. Also I have access to piperime-17 for worms, how would I go about using it? Put in water? Inject in mouth? ANd how much and which way is best?
