    My poor duckie

Should I be worried about her eyelid being a little droopy? That's my main worry.

    My poor duckie

My ducks are never apart but today I noticed one was missing. I looked in the duck home and she was laying there and began hissing and shaking. It does look like she got pecked but is this the reason why she acting like this? I also noticed her eyes look weird.

    Chicken getting pecked!

About two weeks ago my 3 year old chicken Iris got pecked by the others. I found her with blood all over her face and neck with all her feathers sticking up. I let the wounds fully heal and cleaned her up before putting her back. Then she got pecked again, and I supervised for an hour when I let...

    They quit laying eggs???

I'm super confused... My two ducks Charie and Moe quit laying eggs after only 2 months of laying. I was fine with that because they are more so my pets and I didn't expect anything back. However now 0/10 of my chickens are laying eggs. It's been 2 months without eggs. They look healthy, no...

    Bare butt

This looks like feather picking. My hens have gone through a lot of bald butt stages. Check for mites just in case. Get some anti-peck or blue-kote, a 20% protein feed and some entertainment and your problem will be solved. You don't always see them picking feathers and it doesn't always look...

    My flock always looks unhealthy

UPDATE!!: After separating the ducks for a month or two, giving the animals more free ranging time and enrichment, and using a new anti-peck they all have butt feathers!! and the ducks and chickens get along enough to share a space (they still have a slight hatred towards each other but can...

    My flock always looks unhealthy

Ok thanks. I just want to mention that I am planning on renovating and making a new coop shortly, because this one was thrown together with wood scraps and things we already had. If anyone has any ideas on what I can include in a new design + what to do with the ducks because my chickens attack...

    My flock always looks unhealthy

Thats the thing, they molt and look beautiful in the fall and then they decide to pick feathers and then they dont grow back until the next fall. Its like they are addicted to picking feathers but nothing I do is helping.

    Lost Two Girls Today

Im so glad Star is doing better! Best of luck for the rest of your flock xx. Never giving up is the right thing to do. You are giving these chooks a wonderful life. Loosing multiple birds in the same few days must be really hard....I get so wrecked when one of mine passes. I hope Star lives a...

    My flock always looks unhealthy

I know what this sounds like "I'm not taking care of them properly" but I can assure you that I am outside with them constantly and they get great care. The chickens themselves are healthy but they look so bad - missing feathers, bald spots etc. I've done everything, blue dye, anti peck, bigger...

Infection Going Around my Flock, One Dead

So sorry for your loss ❤️ This exact same thing happened to my chicken Hazel a few months ago, she was just fine, maybe a tiny bit sick and then all the sudden she died the exact same way you described. Thankfully my flock has been fine and this didn't happen to anyone else.

    MY CHICKEN ALMOST DIED!

Hey everyone, sorry for being so inactive lately. Blanch has passed away but luckily it was peacefully in her sleep. Thank you to everyone who tried to give me tips. I still don't know what was wrong but a lot of her symptom's were related to mereks and salpingitis. Rest in peace sweet girl ❤️

    Bully chicken!!

I have posted about my hen Blanch before because she almost died due to an attack. Today I witness almost the same thing but Sunny attacked a healthy chicken and both of my ducks. Poor things are terrified. I dont know what to do but in the two years I've had chickens I've never seen one that...

    Aggressive Silkie?

This is pretty funny. One of my hens is just really sassy and if she doesn't like what I'm doing she will peck me. Another one of my hens attacks when I touch someone else. Its not something to worry about. Your silkie is getting older and her hormones are changing which might alter her behavior...
