@PippinTheChicken
Just wanted to update you on the silkies, they are 6 months now and dumpling was my only male!😌
Unfortunately, peanut had splayed legs and had neurological issues that was a result of having to put her down not too long ago, she reached 5 months of age, (picture below was the...
Your probably right! I really appreciate helping me out, if I have anymore silkie chicks that I have questions on, I’m definitely asking you! 😊
On peanut, I don’t see any type of saddle feathers beginning to produce and peanut does have a hens fluffy tail compared to dumplings. Plus if we are...
Okay I’ll wait to see if any wattles but peanut does look like he has a hens tail. I was confused about Clover with having wattles but I didn’t know if it was the leghorn gene or not. But she? Has two rows for combs
Oh @PippinTheChicken Here’s the updated images you wanted of them, they are 3 months now.
Reminder: Peanut is the only full blood silkie. Other 4 are 75%silkie, 25% leghorn.
Clover looks like s/he is growing wattles, I don’t know if that still means roo or sense clover is my only satin if...
He is so calm an vocal, definitely funny! He flew at my passenger car window twice as we where driving, looked at it and just sat in my bff hand the whole way making all sorts of cute chicken noises❤️He is Definitely very small & he fits in my hand…. My 3 mo silkie hatchlings are bigger then he...
This is Lloyd. I’m getting him from a friend of mine who has too many roosters. Lloyd is a TSC baby born November 2021. All I was told is a bantam. But I didn’t know the specific breed.
I have 5 silkie chicks (4 are silkie x leghorn, 1 is pure silkie) I have them all named and identified on the pictures below, I have some from today (April 27) and from April 8. I’m only needing to keep the hens. Is there a way to help determine gender? I don’t know what I’m looking for in...
My laying hens are the exact same age (same group) and my EE have been laying for over a month too. still awaiting my Plymouth Rock to lay ( I think she laid one soft a wk ago with my ee)
He stayed at my friends how’s but she has a very dominant rooster and would chase him off. So we didn’t know if it’s due to there being another roo that would kinda prolong it. But I just brought him home today. So I guess we shall see
I’m not 100% on what his breed is. At first I thought Australorp. But I know they have lighter colored feet. His have a blueish tint. Same with his ears. They are white with a blue-green tint.
Hatch date: Oct 8, 2021.
( He originally came from my classes bunch of hatching chicks. )
