    Cocciodosis dosage?

She seems to be on the mend! Eating and drinking more and more each day. Still moving on the slower side, but she seems to be improving!

    Cocciodosis dosage?

How odd! It makes sense, but I never would have thought of it otherwise!

    Cocciodosis dosage?

Interesting turn of events: went out just now to give her a little more medicine/water in the eye dropper, as I didn't see her drink all day, and when I picked her up a stream of clear liquid came out of her beak. It was almost like drool. No sour smell and her crop felt totally normal (to me)...

    Cocciodosis dosage?

Thank you so much! I'm going to do some right now for good measure, as I only got a bit in her earlier. Will try the feed idea tomorrow! She is almost two, no poop pics yet - I saw the suspicious poo earlier and immediately removed it from their pen.

    Cocciodosis dosage?

Thank you! She had NO interest in water, very little in food today, which is why I was dosing her with the eye dropper, just to make sure she got at least something. Hoping for the best tomorrow and will go from there!

    Cocciodosis dosage?

Hi, all! My lovely lady, Butters, seems to have come down with cocciodosis. I noticed she was sluggish and not interested in food or water yesterday. Weird poop, pale comb and wattle. Got liquid Corid, diluted 2 tsps in one gallon of water for the whole flock preventively. Butters wouldn't...

    Mysterious spot on yolk

Hi! I cracked an egg from one of my easter eggers this morning and it had a very strange spot on the yolk. It almost looks like mold? I collected it first thing this morning. Has anyone experienced this? I hemmed and hawed and ended up tossing it because I wasn’t sure.

    Will not eat veggies

My cheeky girls won't touch pumpkin but go rabid for squash. I don't understand it. They don't care much for leafy greens either except for collard greens - but not brussels sprouts. They like what they like!

Topic of the Week - What do/can you do with unwanted roosters?

That's really interesting! I never thought of that. If any cockerels end up in my flock, I'll definitely have to remember this.

The post you've all been waiting for....!

Hi, all! My flock is now 12 weeks old and I can't believe how fast time is going by. They are so much fun! They are making chicken noises and are very interested in exploring. I'm wondering if anyone can take a guess or two at some of the breeds I have (if you notice anything indicating...

    Picky chickies - unsophisticated palates?

Hi, all! My flock of 24 just turned six weeks today! I'm a first-time chicken person, and I'm loving it. They've moved to their coop and are outside every day scratching and chasing and sun/dust bathing. I'm so pleased that they seem to be enjoying themselves! They are just so fun. :love I've...
