    why mama hen not protecting chicks

    I have two 3 days old chicks. She took the chicks out the nest yesterday. When other hen get close, she puff up but let the other hen pick her chicks. She did not stop the other hen. I thought she suppose to protect her chicks at any cost. Is that normal? thanks

    I think the main ingredients of rat poison is anticoagulant. The reason for vitamin K is it is antidote for anticoagulant. Try to feed them dark green leaf vegetables, it is high in Vitamin K. The main concern for them is internal bleeding.
