    Worms in chickens

This is the exact post I found while searching for what to do with the safeguard. Thank you! It's wonderful! 100lbs is the exact pound estimate for my chickens too haha! Now I just have to convince my older chickens to let my younger chickens have some

    Worms in chickens

It must be worm season here because tractor supply only had ivermectin drench but Amazon had 2 day delivery which was free 🤷🏻‍♀️ so Saturday the girls begin their deworming protocol. Oddly my neighbor just had to do her chickens but they had a different worm.... she's also about a mile away lol...

    Worms in chickens

Not going to lie to you all I'm loosing my mind a little. I was out with my chickens today and noticed some round worms in poop. I know what to there...gotta treat them. My question is do I treat my dogs too? What about me and my 2 year old? I feel insane but I'm just worried. Do I toss all my...

    Limpy rooster

From looking at the pictures and reading the description seems like a varus deformity it wasn't obvious until he was full grown though or almost full grown. Possibly slight enough to not be noticed until he was much older because as a chick he was good.

    Limpy rooster

Sadly, we ended up putting him down. We had him checked over by our vet who thankfully lives 3 houses down. No Mereck's no disease. The vet put it down to possibly having giantism or growing to fast for his joints to keep up. We did butcher him and his left hock joint was excessively stretched...

8.5 week Silkie x Ameraucana or Legbar chicks - please help me guess gender and parentage

Ah I see...so crowing soon. Your hen is gorgeous! Wonderful cream legbar colors too. The little mohawk legbars have always make me think they need a leather jacket with spikes like little punk rockers 😂.

Ended BYC's 14th Annual New Year's Day Hatch-Along - 2023—Winter on the Farm Photo Contest

I knew my husband was done with snow...he's from upstate new york...but I miss it since we have moved to the south. I will say though I'm super happy we chose not to move back up near his family because they got feet of snow!(they aren't far from Buffalo)

8.5 week Silkie x Ameraucana or Legbar chicks - please help me guess gender and parentage

I am unsure if this is a boy or not. We have two Ameracuna hens that looked quite similar...so much so I thought for certain one was a roo. Idk they are just funny colored ladies they lay pretty blue eggs.

I love seeing all the snow! My flock won't ever see much snow. We have gotten ice this year but doubt we will see snow.

What did you do in the garden today?

What a beautiful autumn day! The high today was 61 and we went to the zoo. Then I remembered why I don't like zoos my quiet, gentle, sweet natured 21 month old got overwhelmed but only teared up once because apparently rhinos are terrifying. The chickens think the garden is the best place to...

What did you do in the garden today?

This is probably going to sound insane but I toss my starter every spring. No matter what jar or cover or crock I use the fruit flies find a way in every spring/summer. As soon as it hit below 50 (last week) I began the starter process. This will be my first bake with this starter except the...

What did you do in the garden today?

We were supposed to get rain tomorrow... nope... its so dry my own skin feels crunchy. There is a wildfire southwest of us and the wind isn't helping. Hopefully we both get rain soon!

What did you do in the garden today?

Hmm I'm behind on the thread lol @Ascholten glad to see you are doing well. The pictures coming out of Ft Meyers are terrifying...I don't even think that word covers it. Definitely a disaster. It's actually bread making day today here at my house lol. I plan my menu weekly, try to keep it...

What did you do in the garden today?

Hahah I'm with you! I've lived in blizzard territory and tornado alley but I will take weather like that over earthquakes any day! That 89 earthquake was a doozy! Honestly pretty cool you were at the world series for it. Very scary/cool story for certain.

What did you do in the garden today?

I have always been amazed by intense weather...hurricanes, tornadoes and all the crazy in-between. This hurricane is impressive, the people of Puerto Rico are in a state of desperate emergency. I truly hope the folks in Florida hunker down and make it thru. I'm in north bama and we have been...

What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning. It was a balmy 44 when I woke up this morning with a high of 69. To say I'm happy would be an understatement. My little dude is getting his last molars and my neighbor gave me some red beans from her garden! So I guess red beans and rice with corn bread is what is all about tonight!

    Limpy rooster

Ah I'm in luck because I just checked him over an hour ago. He's very knock knee'd(though i guess those are his ankles)....there is no space between this roo's knees unless he is running. He wasn't like this as a chick! I checked for brusing seems his left hock...hmm where you would get thigh...
