    What Breed Are These Girls?

Hi, I bought these girls several weeks ago (They are about six weeks old. I was told by the local feed store where I bought them that they were Rhode Island Red chicks. Now that they are getting bigger, their feather coloring is not right, and their leg coloring also doesn’t line up (the...

    Help Sexing Chick

Thanks in advance for any help. My daughter is afraid that the other Americauna chick we have is a rooster (we had a surprise rooster in our last batch of chicks). This is about 4 weeks old. I think it’s hen, but I’m not very good at this yet. Any help you could give would be appreciated.

    Hen or Rooster

So I have a Midnight Majesty Maran that I’m starting to be concerned might be a cockerel. It is 5 weeks old, it’s tail feathers are larger than the other two Marans, and it chest bumps with my Barred Rock cockerel. Any help would be appreciated.

One More - Rooster or Hen

Thanks for the feedback on my last chick. This one is also a four week old Barred Rock, it’s a bit light for a hen, but its comb is still small, and it hasn’t started growing waddles yet (which makes me think hen). Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Rooster or Hen?

I have a four week old Barred Rock that I’m starting to suspect might be a rooster. If it is, I’m going to get started on a separate coop for this batch of chicks. If not, I’m going to integrate this flock with my existing flock. Any help in determining Roo or Hen would be very helpful. Thanks!
