Hello! I´ve recently made an homemade incubator using hot water bottles, and I´m hoping to hatch some quail eggs with it! I do not have my hopes high, but still curious. As a double bonus, the eggs are from the super market. However, the supermarket eggs ARE fertile(I have tested it).
Day 0:

I'm candling my quail eggs, but some are greenish inside and some are yellowish. Does that affect the hatching? Does yellowish mean fertile and greenish mean unfertile? The eggs are on day 1.
I'm incubating quail eggs, but I'm still curious if there will be any difference between candling on day 0 vs. day 1? Because I saw that my egg yolk was darker on day 1 than on day 0.
Hello! :)
These aren't my eggs, but I was just taking care of my friends incubator(quail eggs) while she's away for a few weeks. Before you say anything, this is a real incubator, not my homemade ones. When I candled the eggs, they looked fine. However, 3 was concerning. 1 did not develop at...
I can't believe it. I hatched an quail egg with just a hot water bottle.
Here's what I did: I first put the eggs on a hot water bottle with boiling water. After that, I turned the eggs 3-5 times per day and also changed water when needed. When it was day 10, I saw few signs of embryo! Finally...
Hi!
I was just wondering if there are anyone who rides or have horses?
I don't have a horse(just yet), but I will soon! So far, I'm just
taking classes! If you are an equestrian, comment down!
Looking forward to seeing the equestrians!
Hello!
Today is day 4 of my duck eggs! Over the past days, including today, it showed no signs of veins. However, I do see a darker red spot, not very dark though. Are these fertile?

Hi!
I was just candling my eggs on day 1 to check for hairline cracks when I noticed
something strange. One egg had this air cell that made it look like it was
on day 7 or something. The air cell looked strangely white and glowing up but the yolk had no embryo
or veins(yet). Is there something...
Hello!
I've been incubating some eggs, but I'm not sure when I should exactly see the veins.
Some people seen it on day 3, and some on day 6??? I know I shouldn't
be too worried since it's day 1, but I want to get prepared. :D
Thanks!
Hi!
Today, I found 2 duck eggs that was in a little cup alone in my fridge. I have no idea how long it has been sitting or if it's fertile. I cracked one open and it had a dot and a white ring(fertile). I think I should incubate the other one. But, I would have to get another hot water bottle...

Wonder Quails
Hello!
When I candled my eggs, they seemed to be red inside!
From what I know, people see yellow? Does red mean it's fertilized or not?
Or is red normal? These eggs are an experiment for seeing if grocery eggs are
fertile. They were bought in Trader Joe's. However, I have no idea of the breed...
Hello!
I was just wondering if eggs(quails) need air sacks to pip. I've
heard they pip through the air sack first, and then the outer shell.
However, my quail eggs don't have an air sack... Will they be able to pip?
thanks
Hello! How's your day going? :)
I had just candled my eggs on day 15 but saw no air sack. It
may be my lights problem but I see absolutely no air sack. Maybe
they might have died???? Has anyone every experienced this
with quail eggs??
Thanks
