I set up a bucket with 3 nipples and my chickens don't seem to be able to figure it out! I kept them in the coop until late in the day so they would figure it out but they still won't peck at the nipples. Out of 9 chickens only 2 have figured it out. Any ideas?

This same thing happened to one of my new chicks last week. I thought it was dead and I picked it up to remove it but it just barely moved. Ice cold. I warmed it in my hands and then put it in our incubator. It took a few days to perk up totally but she is fine now! Just keep her warm.

OK that was not too bad. I was not sure I could catch him or get him into the sink but it worked out. We soaked for a few and then I tried antibiotic ointment which did not stick so then I tried petroleum jelly and he is isolated in a box. Yikes. so what will happen if this does not fix him up...
