My kindergarteners absolutely loved it and learned so much about chickens and their life cycle. After they hatched, we had 10 other classes (ranging from K to 5th grade) come visit. I am still having students stop me in the hallway to talk about the chicks.
After reading the article about curves toes, I went ahead and made little shoes. It said it’s easier to correct the earlier you start. The chick seems to be walking ok with them. And it’s stopped trying to constantly peck them off.
