my call duck is sitting on this egg its on day 28, does this look like its getting ready to hatch? ive not candled the egg due to worrying that she's going to abandon it however eggs definitely fertile from previous attempts a couple days before she sat on this egg :)
is the egg pipping? or zipping?
ive currently got 2 call duck eggs in the incubator on day 4 and only one egg has got veins and is developing, what shall I do? shall I add in another egg today or will that be a problem on lockdown day for the current egg. what would you guys do?
please can people tell me there tips for the incubating period of the calll duck, currently on day 2 but am worrying as ive heard that call ducks struggle to hatch, humidity is about 60-70% and temperature is about 36.5-37.3
I have previously hatched chicken eggs.
im hatching call ducks in my incubator, there humidity is around 50-65% and the temperature is about 36.5 - 37ish is this all good? first time hatching call ducks and ducks in general ive hatched chicks before.
yes It is the hens baby, she seems settled she has a brooder plate and I put a stuff toy in for her and when I went back and checked on her she was there fast asleep snuggles into the toy. However I do know that chicks learn off each other! so what can I do to teach her how to eat and drink? x...
I was hoping to have more but she was the only one to hatch from out of 3 eggs sadly , however my silkie hen has gone broody and has been for a few days would I be okay to bring my silkie hen inside with the chick?
