My chicken coop is raised off the ground. My question is should I include the bottom or is it fine to leave open? The coop is in a large fenced in area.

They have a heat lamp right now. It's pretty far away from them now and they don't seem to spend alot of time close to it now.

Thanks everyone! I thought it was cecal poop but I wanted to be sure!

So one was roosting on the side of the brooder and pooped on the floor and this is what it looked like.

I unfortunately did not get a picture. Next time I see it I will.

I have 6 chicks. 3 are approximately 3 weeks old and 3 are approximately 2 weeks old. Atleast one of them has had foul smelling chocolate brown runny poops. Any advice on what could be causing this?
