I have 4 brahmas and 3 olive eggers that started laying around 5-6 months. It's been about 3 months and they're still laying pullet eggs. They've laid big eggs but back to pullet size. Never had this happen before I've read it's natural, but is the time length normal?
Alright I need your wisdom once again they're about 5-6 weeks old. Silver laced wyandotte, ameracaunas, 1 barred rock.
I know it's fairly early seen a bit of red, I keep the roosters, just like to have every flock balanced.
2 birds within the last week have gotten sour crop. I free range my birds so I'm not exactly sure what they ate. One pearl star leghorn (4 weeks) has died. My silver laced wyandotte (6 weeks) has the symptoms.
Neighbors dog got a hold of my 11-12 week old (now 15 weeks) Brahma. The skin was ripped by the neck to the middle of the back, about 3-4 inches across. I could see her spine, fortunately that was the extent of the damage just missing critical areas.
After a month isolation she's near fully...
I'm guessing all pullets
2 Rhode island reds, 2 black sex links, 1 brahma
12-15 weeks old
All the sex links have that feathering by the neck from what I've read that's what pullets are supposed to look like. I could be wrong as well.
Thoughts?
Hello again,
Picked up more black sex links and some black "olive eggers"from TSC. This one is about 5-6 weeks old in the olive egger tub.
What stood out to me was the more developed comb than others and different tail feathers if that's even a thing at this age. I can take pictures of the...
Bought my mother some more chickens at tractor supply (I know don't judge me) the tub said barred rock pullets, they were also housed with Rhode island reds I'm assuming it's a red since no black chicks in the tub.
The black chicks are black sex links.
