I just wanted to thank you all! I moved where the water is inside the coop, added golf ball, and then we got a fan to circulate air when they are in the nesting boxes, and they are back to laying in the nesting boxes!

Thank you! I added my geographical location, and I just ordered a thermometer. Here are the pictures of our coop. The two sides that don't have windows have vents in the roof overlap. I couldn't get a picture of one of the sides bc it is right next to our garage with not a lot of space!

Haha! Thank you - they are driving me nuts! They are laying in the corner of the coop, so I am thinking if I can't beat them, join them. I may buy one of those pre-made nesting boxes and just put it in that corner!

Here are the images of windows. We have window on the other side above the chicken door to allow for cross winds. I live in Baltimore, but in the AM, temperatures have been 80 or below, so warmish but not terribly warm.

The other hens are younger, so they are not laying yet. We did have a buff orpington who had just started laying (in the middle box) after my 2 polish bantams. Unfortunately, she passed away a few days ago.

The two boxes to the sides are 12x14x12. The middle one is 14x14x14. The two current naughty non-box layers are polish bantams, so they are pretty small. They had been choosing the two smaller boxes on the sides.
