    Winter plans for bantams??

I’m curious what other people do with bantams in the winter. I’ve read lots of things about standard chickens not needing heat and being very cold tolerant as long as the coop is draft free and dry, but I’ve also read about bantams not being as cold tolerant but unsure of how much cold is too...

    Deworming guineas

So I’ve been trying to find solutions for deworming or medicating guineas. They’ve suddenly and completely stopped laying eggs 1-2 weeks ago (which I’ve been hoping is just seasonal transition and not a real symptom, even though it’s still 80s during the day), their waddles and noses seem paler...

They act very pullet-like (squat down when petting them, very gentle/sweet/quiet, like 3 peas in a pod with no chest bumping or pecking at each other at all… but the base of their combs have been turning pink/red over past week or so even though comb hasn’t grown...

    New to raising birds

In April, my husband decided to try having guineas on our hobby farm to help with ticks. Since they are quite feral, I wanted to have something more tame and domesticated as well, so I got 6 pullets of different breeds (1 EE, 1 australorp, 2 RIR, 2 Plymouth Rocks). They are now about 13 wks old...
