I’ll add bedding for a couple months then do a clean out. I put in a vinyl floor and double doors so the clean out is quick. Leaving the east wall open (hardware cloth) keeps the place aired out.

So this is the coop we built. Ez floor clean out doors. 3 of the 5 nests in. Added the “group perch” which they love. East wall now has a tarp over the left half due to the sun.

We are using cat litter buckets. All off the ground but with a front rail for ez access. The roost bars allow them to hop up and down no issue. Drilled a bunch of holes in the buckets for ventilation as well as adding 2 solar fans over the nests. Florida summer is hot. Started with 3 nests and...
