Ohh thanks for that! She actually returned to normal after a few days. Her waddles looked very droopy and darkened like bruising. After a few days it cleared up! I think it must have been from the tick bite. Sorry I didn't manage to get a good photo!

This may be a stretch to ask on such an old post but what happened to your chicken? I'm having a very similar situation where I found a tick in my hen and she is having the same type of spread of discoloration in her wattles. She seems to have good energy and appetite.
