    Help with rescued quail!

My neighbor's cat and dog went after a nest of newly hatched quail, and killed the parents and most of the chicks. She rescued two and called me to take them, since we have chickens. I have them in a brooder under a heat lamp with water and finely ground all purpose poultry food. It may be a few...

    silkie sexing

This is Phyllis (partridge) and Goldie (buff). They are around 10 weeks old from what I was told. I see no sign of a comb at all on either. Was I lucky enough to get two pullets?

    Frizzle?

Thanks for the help! Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to really figure out what he (or she!) is.

    Frizzle?

He is so much smaller than the other two banties that I got at the same time. Is there some other white feather legged breed that he could be?

    silkie sexing

I'm brand new to silkies, and just got these two today. I was told that they are about 5 weeks old. I'm wondering about guesses on sex, and also coloring. I'm guessing the one is a buff, but the other seems to have a lot of black mixed in as well. Help please! Chick #1 Chick #2

    Frizzle?

Got this little guy out of a mixed banty bin at Coastal. I'm pretty sure he's a white cochin, but could these be frizzle feathers I'm seeing?

    Mystery banty

Here are all three. From my research, I thought from left to right: red cochin, white cochin, mystery. I couldn't find any pics of reds that had the head markings this one does. Do they sometimes?

    Mystery banty

Hello all! I picked up a few banty chicks from an assorted bin. The store orders from both Welp and Dunlap. I'm 99% sure we've got a red cochin and a white cochin, but this little stripey one has me stumped. He/she does have feathered legs. Any ideas?

    What breed am I?

Hmmm. After looking at some google images, it could be a Partridge Rock chick. One of my broodies is a Partridge Rock, and I'm planning on sneaking her a couple of chicks. Maybe she'll have a mini me! I'm fairly sure it's not an Easter Egger, as there doesn't seem to be any cheek puffs, but who...

    What breed am I?

Hello all! I picked up 4 new babies at the feed store yesterday, and know what three of them are, but the owner of the store wasn't sure what the fourth one is, as apparently they got a lot of miscellaneous layers that weren't labeled. The three black and white ones are a Barred Rock, a Cuckoo...
