Let me rephrase my earlier statement...
all of them recently finished getting all their feather in, they are all about 4 months old. She is growing at the same rate and the feathers on her head look the same as all the others, she is from a hatchery and seems fine other than this feather thing...
Our chicks recently got their feathers in, and one of them doesn't seem to have any. Her head is feathered. she has some fuzz on her sides and belly but her back seems to be completely bare. I know it's not a breed thing, she's either an Ameruecana or a buff orphington.
If you know what it is...
How old are they? if they are only a few days old you could put them in the fridge until further notice, they will go dormant. I'm not sure exactly how long, but it cannot be very long, they need constant temperature and humidity adjustments, as well as being turned.
Again...
I'm am talking about netting only! I don't care about solutions to wire fencing, although I admit, it was kinda stupid to not clarify that in the begginig...
so please! solutions using netting only.
Thanks for all the replies, a lot of people thought I meant electric wiring, I meant electric net fencing, but anyway thanks for the feedback, we may just go through with it,.

My chickens are free-range and I always have trouble with predators, sometimes it's foxes, sometimes it's hawks, and sometimes it's something I cannot identify. Usually I get hit by a fox, if anyone knows techniques to keep foxes away love to hear them.
I have a rooster that is most definitely the lowest in the pecking order, I was wondering how many other people have roosters low in the pecking order. I've created a poll to find out.
For The poll please answer using your rooster lowest on the pecking order
My chickens are kind of old, they are 3-5 years old. I know they are laying, because, in a week of warmth, they laid rapidly, and well. So my question is: how can I get my chickens to keep laying, keep laying well, and lay in colder weather? Any suggestions welcome, diet, coop, devices, and any...
There were to many pages to look at every single number, my guess is 5,086 but if someone already has it i'll take 5,085, if taken, 5,084, if taken, 5,083. i'm guessing one of these someone has not taken.
