Does yone out there know what causes eggs to become "sticky" inside the shell? A few of the fresh eggs i have cooked seemed to have less albumen and the egg sort of stuck inside as i opened it to drop into the pan.

Update... the sick chicken was dead this morning. Looked for the culprits and found none on the outside. I can only assume they were inside at this point due to the death. I will continue as stated earlier and just treat as if i have both issues.

Don't have an avian vet around my parts. Guess i'll see where she goes from here. I will do the antibiotics and if nothing else i guess cull her.

i should add that i did notice soft eggs in the coop the past couple days. two to be exact over the last week. I will get some antibitotic today and try that with her. she doesn't seem to be in any discomfort, she is currently foraging in the yard with her coop mates.

Who washes or rinses their eggs and who doesn't and why? And if you don;t how do you get at least any poop or blood off them without damaging the "bloom"?
