    External nesting boxes

I am having a difficult time tweaking the interior of one of my fiirst 8x8 coops due to poor planning on my part. New comet babies

I finally got around to finding 8 golden comet pullets this morning from Southern States. They're all tucked away in the basement brooder and are happily peeping away. I still need 2 barred rock pullets and a quality barred rock roo to finish our flock renovation.

Changed over to nipple waterers today

I am 24 hours after my switch to nipple waterers and it went seamlessly. I have 14 1 month olds in an 8' trough in my basement and switched them over to a 5gal bucket with 3 nipple fittings on the bottom. I took their other waterer out vcold turkey as it constantly had poop in it and they were...

    They're here...

I just got in my order from MyPetChicken and the chicks look great! The brooder is set up and only a few loose ends to tie up on their coop. 4 speckled sussex, 4 barred rocks, 5 partridge rocks and the odd buff orp that the wife wanted. Pics to follow.
