Donrae - I think you are right. I asked the previous owners if they had any Marans, Brahma or Cochin. They had a large mixed flock and the only one of those breeds they had were Black Cochins.

I've posted her photo on other sites and so far we've had guesses of Blue Orpington, Blue Marans, Brahma and Cochin. She has lightly feathered feet so for sure she's one of the last 3 mentioned. People's opinions seem to vary quite a bit and I'm curious as to how they made their decisions...

Boom Chicka Pop - I think she's too grey to be a lavender, she's definitely blue. She's got lightly feathered feet so I think she's a Blue Cochin x (not so fluffy and not such feathered feet).

I think Andalusians are more upright and slim and Jersey Giants bigger. I'm leaning toward Blue Orpington x. She's got the boxy body of an Orpington.

I was given this large standard hen from a mixed flock. Can anyone tell me what breed(s) she is? She's blue, single comb, lightly feathered yellow legs, clean feet. She lays a large size medium brown egg. Thanks
