The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

My weak legged chick is improving. Up and runs to me as I've been individually hand feeding it. It's smaller than the others but can eat standing up now. I think she'll make it!

I have a little female Cream legbar almost the same. She can stand but not well and not for long. Azygous suggested the Vit E to me also. :fl for both!

I went to bed at 2 with just pips. Woke up to 3 nearly fluffed babies! 2 of my own Asia black(sexlink?) Faverolles crosses plus one Cream Legbar. More pipped and one zipping.

Yes chickens. Ok great. I quickly snatched the cracked eggto remove the wax. Its loudly peeping and I can see it trying to internal pip in there. Any tips how to give it the best shot?

The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

Wheeeeeee I'm so excited! :wee I have one external pip. Now I need help. Three of these eggs are about 10 hours ahead of the others. So I've been raising the humidity slowly since Thursday to split the difference a bit. Through incubation I maintained 38-45%. I'm at about 68% now. Should I...

One of my eggs has a crack that I sealed up with candle wax. It has a big aircell. I have it propped up for hatch but I'm wondering if I'll need to remove that wax. What if it pips right there? I'd say it's likely to do so.

So, should I chuck this one guys? Well I'm sure it's a dud but for learning purposes, is that a blood ring?

The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

Thank you! That's 16 days, looking down a bit from the small end. So that ring runs top to bottom. The aircell is big end and looks ok.

The egg I sealed with New skin is alive and squirming. That's good. It's aircell is huge. I think that's not so good. Anything I can do at this point? It's a chicken set March 10.

My 8 day candling didn't go well. Blue and olive eggs are no picnic. More ?marks than check marks. If there's a sizable solid non moving area should I assume growth?
