    Sometimes cockerels do not ever get along. You never know. You would need a second pen for one of them or re home one. It is tough though since they are usually your favorite chickens

    You might need to keep them separated for a while. If they are not drawing blood, they may be fine though. It can take two weeks for them to integrate completely

    Dorkings are not particularly small. They are a dual purpose meat breed. Did you post a picture of her?

    Dorkings have 5 toes but the gene for that does not always get inherited

    It does not take too long. They do not have oil in their feathers like ducks so if they are in a pool, you need to be there to get them out. I would not do it though. There are misleading videos out there that show people swimming with their chickens.

    I am so sorry! Chickens can't swim. They get water logged and sink. Keep them away from pools, creeks and etc.

    Still watch for coccidiosis though. They can still get it even with medicated chick starter

    Yes they can. It is a thiamine disrupter and not a poison. Long term it will cause a niacin deficiency sometimes but is not bad generally

    If she quits raising the chicks, do not let her hatch chicks again. Some do not make good mothers

    The Mom usually takes care of them for 5 to 6 weeks. Set up a broader as a backup
