    Mary , The windows will all open and the end opposite of the run has 2 huge openings that will be covered with hardware cloth and open 90% of the time except during really cold weather, they will have alot of light and ventilation as well.Wait till you see it when it is finished.

    Almost there , finished all the framing and doors, got it primed yesterday and will try to paint this week if weather permits. Then will put on the new metal roof. Will be getting new baby chicks next Saturday. Our dog Roscoe trying to figure out what we are building.

    Yes , the whole roof is gong to be covered , I am also going to have a ridge vent the whole length of the roof. I am pleased how it is turning out. My son is a great carpenter , helps me a lot with the fine details.

    A few more pics of the progress , picked up the sheet metal for the roof. Hope to start painting this weekend . Still need to build doors, windows , and install hardware cloth.

    Thanks for the compliments Wolfgang B. , As far as the blocks not ever sinking , I doubt they will always stay perfect , but I can always re-level the structure as needed.

    Well , finally getting started on the new Coop and Run. It's modeled after a Carolina Coop. The whole thing will be 6' x 14' with a gable roof.
