Yep, that would surely help. If they do crack down the road, then you can cover with metal ridge cap. Might work. I'd still try to get some drip edge under the edges and eaves.

Probably should have done flashing, drip edges(on sides and bottom edge of roof plane), and shingles before the trim. That's show you'd roof any other building. It might....may need to go to a metal ridge cap, bent a bit further to match your peak angle. Google 'dormer flashing'. Might want to...

My suggestion would be to move pop door to non-nest end of coop then butt that end of coop up to the run wall and open the run mesh to the coop pop door.

What happened to this design...and maybe putting the coop inside the run to eliminate the awkward attachment?? Pressure treated wood is made to have ground contact, no need to raise it. Screws always are easier to fix your errors, tho they may actually not be as strong as nails...depends on...

I like the back access to nests, especially if they are exposed to the weather as a top hinge can be very difficult to seal. I would advise against the whole nest swinging open, disturbing to hens. Mine are in a wall inside, so weather not a concern, upper part of back wall opens and makes a...

There ya go, just start sketching, don't be afraid to try different things. Well, it is pretty hard to elegantly attach a 8x10 run to a smaller coop.... ...maybe put the coop inside the run?

More than enough....but not sure what OP's idea of 'aesthetically pleasing' is. If it functions, it's pleasing to me :D

Just make a box. Very quick and rough. Red are 10'. Black are 8'. Green, I chose 2'.... but up to you. Angled pieces to be determined. Or could go with flat roof. Make bottom frame pieces 'on edge'. Attach vertical studs(which could be cut down to 6') at a spacing to match your mesh for...

I just put my one week olds out in the coop today, with their Pseudo Brooder Heat 'Plate'. Here's my notes on chick heat, hope something in there might help: They need to be pretty warm(~85-90F on the brooder floor right under the lamp and 10-20 degrees cooler at the other end of brooder)...

I have been known to make stupid-bad math errors...like that one. My bran just shorts out, other times booomboomboom right in my head with no errors. Hit the wrong operator this time and never even thought how wrong it was..SMH. At least I had the right numeral  According to grid cupola is...
