Help with installing a window and vents on my coop!

Whoops, no we started with them having the run of the run as well as the coop. Starting tomorrow night I’ll check around dusk to see if they are in... they are smart little things so it probably won’t take them that long to figure things out. Thank you!

Help with installing a window and vents on my coop!

Can’t wait to see it once it’s done! Just wondering @rosemarythyme I’m putting them in at night then blocking off their door with a piece of plywood so they can’t get out each night. The dream is that eventually they will put themselves to bed and get out when they want in the morning and we’re...

Help with installing a window and vents on my coop!

Update: Got everything done yesterday and the chicks are happily living outside! Just wondering, the low for tonight is going to be 9 degrees Celsius (49 F). Is this too cold for them? There are 6, and their coop is insulated and has pine shavings in it, with the door closed off. Will they be ok...

Help with installing a window and vents on my coop!

Thank you so much! I think that it is a good idea to have the chicks in the coop while we finish the run. We will get started on the coop ASAP! No, the run will be stationary. We were just going to do the whole floor wire because width of the roll of wire fits the width of the bottom exactly...

Help with installing a window and vents on my coop!

Hey guys! So when I joined a few weeks ago, one of my first posts was about my coop. Weeelll.... I very quickly learned that it was not “the perfect coop” that I had thought it was, lol! It needed ventilation and a window. So we’ve been procrastinating... going on trips and filling weekends...
