    We have both adult 2 year old and new layers. The new layers have smaller eggs but not the size of silky eggs, more the size of regular chicken eggs. The older WH lay very big eggs. We can not close the carton.

    We use eggs up to 7 days old. From what I read it said 10 days but we put eggs in the incubator weekly and also want to increase the chance they hatch successfully.

    Thank you. We do have different brooders if need be but I wasn't sure what was the best route to go.

    Can I hatch out duck eggs along with chicken eggs or do the duck eggs need special treatment in the incubator like humidity or temperature? What about the brooder? Can Welsh Harlequins go in with Bar Rock and other standard chicken?
