Maybe I will get my DH to take picture's of them tomorrow. It's supposed to freeze overnight, but I have them in a XL dog crate in the extra bedroom that is also used for storage, so they won't be freezing.
I don't know how they will count that as being as per that contest number, but I was...
Just in case you were wondering about my Welsh Harlequin duckling hatch... 2 died in the shell (one would have been a boy and one a girl), and 2 boy's that weren't strong enough to thrive so they died. I ended up with 3 active boy's, and 1 active girl. They have been eating some of the 22% chick...
Great! I guess I'll see you over in that hatch-a-long too! I already started up my other incubator for the Bielefelder's to go into for tomorrow. Only 16 will be going into that one though because 2 arrived broken. So, now I have duck in one incubator, and I'll have chicken's in the other one.
I have 18 shipped Bielefelder hatching egg's that are being delivered today as soon as the mailman get's here, so I'll be in the January hatch-a-long too.
I just finished candling the 11 duck egg's, and removed 2 of them because there wasn't anything going on with them. The other 9 egg's were looking good though.
@Smiles-N-Sunshine I won't go to those meeting's with you unless there's coffee. Since you don't want 4 dozen duckling's, this will probably be the time that most of them will hatch for you!
According to the UPSP tracking number, the dozen Welsh Harlequin duck egg's should arrive here on my porch today. So, I guess that make's me in on this? How long do shipped duck egg's have to rest before incubating? Same like the chicken egg's?
