No it’s really not… 🤣🤣🤣 while it’s grate that for once abbey (duck) is getting along with snowflake (chicken) who when we 1st got snowflake abbey tried drowning her in a puddle… it does make it hard to candle and count eggs or even if babies have hatched I can’t remove them and brood them...
Would love too… but as soon as she sees anything or anyone near her nest she charges 🤣🤣🤣 and she’s got a nest mate snowflake (pekin x silkie chicken) who takes over the sitting and calls out if anyone comes near… but I will try…
I’ve got unknown number of eggs currently been sat on by a very aggressive mumma muscovy… she’s sitting on chicken eggs not sure if they are due to hatch for Christmas or NYE
My girl was sitting on eggs for about 7-10days then they were accidentally removed from her and placed in the “eating” pile over night I think I’ve got all the right eggs and she’s straight back to sitting on them if they are the right ones will they be ok?? If not then I’ll have NYE/NYD chicks 🤣🤣🤣
I’ll endeavour to set some chicks and some x-bred ducklings…. Need help tho as the xbreed is Cayuga x muscovy (laid outta muscovy) do I set for Cayuga hatch time or muscovy hatch time?? I might set for muscovy and if they hatch early then they can be Christmas babies instead of New Years babies lol
