pictures!
coloring doesnt say it too well, but she really looks like the lilac in that picture, although the lighting isnt too innacurate in this picture
wow, this picture REALLY looks like dizzy, like, REALLY similar, I dont know if the lighting made it seem like dizzy wasnt this color, or if this picture makes it look like another color, but this REALLY looks like her, although now im suspecting her to be a him, although im still not sure
hmm, yeah its very possible or even likely she isnt a pastel and is a chocolate as the seller does have chocolate, although those pictures really dont show how dizzy is a pretty light brown, and the eggs were labeled, but there could definetely have been a mixup
I will take some better pictures...
Hey! Its been a while, ive been really busy, but now that its summer I hope I will be able to learn more on backyard chickens, All 6 ducklings are doing great and I do believe it was a niacin deficiency that happened as I had it happen to another duck but less severe, but I started increasing...
@Overo Mare @shawluvsbirds im about to make a new thread, but one of my snowy ducklings after I put them outside, is now not walking, and doesnt look so great, only thing I can think of is there are fire ants outside that she/she could have eaten/got bitten by
pretty hot, its 80 right now fahrenheit and for me its 9:00 pm
lowest it will be for tonight is around 60
And that seems pretty average for the next week
Also, temperatures will be at a high of around 90 at the hottest, I dont know if they should have their pond yet, what do you think? They...
Also, do you think its time to move them outside to their coop? I have a big pen for them that I just cleaned and got ready today. I have electricity out there and could hook up their heat plate
This is a crazy duckling, I am so confused as to what is going on, I think we will just have to wait to see what happens, of course I will update you guys
I am starting to wonder if I should contact the seller to see what they think, maybe there was a mixup or something, because this little...
What!??!?!?!? Pastel has white on his/her chest? This picture isnt from a great angle, but there is a bit more white than it seems like, im unsure if its just fluff or feathers
If you take a close look at the picture, I think they might be new feathers of white, so confusing!
its always little...
Hey, so ive got pastel and penciled here, I feel kinda bad because it was kinda awkward holding the ducklings with 1 hand in order to take the picture.
But do you think this says anything about their gender?
you think I can tell by their voice?
The ducklings are 4 weeks old today!
Just moved the ducklings to a larger brooder, but I was wondering, when do you think they will start getting some proper feathers? I notice the pastel and white are really starting to get some nice feathers in on their tail, and a few other places, but I feel like they could be behind a little...
@Overo Mare by the way, what kind of grit would you recommend? I have chick grit but I have heard that it is too large, should I get some sand? and if so, what kind of sand?
I spent a lot on 2 nurture rights and like 3 batches of eggs, very expensive so im glad I was able to get support from my family, I am raising these ducklings to show and get that experience so thats why they helped out with that (im 15)
