    Nice! Egg-citing. Do you just have the Cinnamon Queens and Legbar mix hens? Was everyone laying? Sounds like it may be that same hen laying a darker shade today.

    I’m hoping she’ll lay a medium green or oliveish egg. I don’t think that’s as likely to happen with blaring white earlobes. 🤷‍♀️ I never noticed earlobe color on any of my birds until someone brought it up in the context of what color they *might* lay. Is there truth to that?

    I also noticed your hens look to have more of the Legbar body coloring. Similar to the one I sold. The pullet I kept is pretty reddish in her body with minimal barring.

    Here mine. I’d say her earlobes are light brown with a touch of green in the right light. Maybe that’s wishful thinking? 🤣

    Well that was unexpected! Good to know though. Thank you for continuing to update! From the birds I started with I’m down to one Legbar mix left. I would have loved to keep the Cinnamon Queen too but she went to the best of homes. I couldn’t say no.

    Nice! Please update when the rest start laying too! Especially those Legbar mixes. There are quite a few pictures of those hens online but precious little info or photos on egg color. I’m dying to know if they’re Olive Eggers or Grunlegers with lighter green eggs. I have 2 of those Legbar mix...
