I’m tired of wondering if I’m doing it right based on time of year and what each chicken is doing. Going to phase out the layer feed (including that darn 2nd bag I bought bc it was on sale!), and switch to higher protein grower and just be done with it.
This is kind of what I’ve been unscientifically doing, based on what I had on hand/what was running low. But I’m def not organized enough to ferment anything- I can see that being a disaster here 🤪
If you feed layer feed, do you change it during molting/winter months when they are not laying as much? Would continuing with layer feed during less productive months cause any long-term harm? Just curious if I’m doing it wrong…
