    Thanks for that. I should have updated this thread earlier, but we’ve been receiving 2 eggs every day since winter solstice late December. It’s been great having the ladies so far. No smell. No noise. No cleaning.

    Thank you. I think it may be that the days are shorter now, and not enough light. I just wanted to be sure it wasn't something I was doing wrong, as this is my first experience with poultry.

    I've just added a photo of something similar. The feed falls quite easily, and I see them using it, I'm just wondering if this type of self service all you can eat method is advisable? I like it for the convenience, and it enables me to be away for a few days if need be. I can't dampen it inside...

    Thank you for that. How do I know that they're getting a sufficient amount of feed via the bucket/peck feeder? Is it advisable to use such a feeder?
